Ran Assaf is a Managing Partner and Founder of M+A Squared. In 2005, he founded Didiom, a New York-based software company specializing in the development of streaming media technologies and mobile music applications. While being responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations as chief executive, Ran grew the company organically from the conceptual stage to an internationally recognized, award-winning business with thousands of customers worldwide. Before its acquisition by SnapOne, Inc. (formerly Exclaim Mobility, Inc.) in 2011, Didiom was named one of the world’s top private technology companies by Red Herring. Prior to founding Didiom, Ran held various program management positions at Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), focusing on global business operations, corporate finance, and contract management. Ran holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson’s Graduate School of Business in Massachusetts.
Sefi Dahan, CPA, is a Partner at M+A Squared. He provides guidance and financial advisory to clients and leads the firm’s deal origination and business relations in Israel. Sefi has a diverse experience in equity research, public and private sector accounting, and business valuation. Prior to joining M+A Squared, he served as CFO at IES Holdings (TASE: IES) where he focused on investment transactions and corporate finance, and worked closely with investment banks, private equity funds, merchant banks and institutional investors. Sefi began his career as a CPA with Ernst & Young and Shikun & Binui (TASE: SKBN), Israel's leading infrastructure and real estate company. He holds a BA in accounting and economics from Bar-Ilan University in Israel.
Michal Assaf, M.D., is a Venture Partner at M+A Squared, focusing on life sciences and biotechnology transactions. She has vast experience with neuroimaging technologies, medical devices, imaging genetics, medical research technologies and data analysis applications. Dr. Assaf has been active in medical research for more than 15 years, and serves on NIH research review panels. After earning her M.D. at Tel Aviv University, Dr. Assaf completed a postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University and Yale University. She is currently serves as a Director at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital and an Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine.
Yeshai Mishal is a Venture Partner at M+A Squared, focusing on electronics, analytics, and advanced manufacturing technologies, including energy, clean tech, and IoT. An engineer with nearly a decade of experience in the oil and gas sector, he was trained as a research scientist, and holds an M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from McGill University. He began his engineering career at Schlumberger (NYSE:SLB), which took him around the world to Aberdeen (Scotland), Tripoli (Libya), Edmonton (Canada) — and in 2011, to Princeton, New Jersey, where he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer overseeing nuclear detector production at Schlumberger's Princeton Technology Center. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and life-long “tinkerer”, he is committed to applying an inventive and collaborative approach to difficult problems. In 2017, he joined Micross Components as a Senior Process Engineer, where he improves products and processes through sensor networks, innovative design, automation, and data-driven problem solving. He previously served as a Business Plan Advisor for the Prison Entrepreneurship Program, and as a Technical Project Manager for Energtek.
